We are pleased to announce that, following the competition earlier this year, Heather Emmerson and John Bethell have been appointed to the Attorney General’s A Panel of Counsel.
The Attorney General maintains panels of junior counsel to undertake civil and EU work for all government departments. Heather and John will join Julian Blake, James Cornwell, Patrick Halliday, Robin Hopkins, Christopher Knight, Katherine Eddy, Hannah Slarks and Stephen Kosmin on A Panel. This is in addition to Rupert Paines, Ruth Kennedy and Zoe Gannon on B Panel and Daniel Isenberg, Remi Reichhold, Juliet Wells, Ben Mitchell and Raphael Hogarth on C Panel.
The new appointments will commence on 1 September 2025 for a term of five years.
