This is the claim brought by 6,000 current and former staff of Morrisons Supermarket who have brought an action relating to a data breach by an employee.

R (Liverpool City Council & Ors) v Secretary of State for Health
Administrative court, 15 March, two days
This is a challenge to a decision by the Secretary of State for Health on grounds that cuts to local finding has placed vulnerable people at risk.

James Goudie KC and Hannah Slarks will appear for the claimant councils and Jason Coppel KC and Joanne Clement will appear for the Secretary of State.

Bank Mellat v HM Treasury
Commercial court, 20 November, four weeks
This is the $4bn damages claim brought by Iran’s largest private bank against the Treasury, relating to financial restrictions which were placed on the bank in 2009.

Amy Rogers and Rupert Paines will appear for the bank and Julian Blake will appear for the Treasury.
