On Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 July 2026 the High Court (Chamberlain J) is holding an unusual two-day permission hearing to decide whether a legal challenge to the authorisation of the PATHWAYS clinical trial of puberty blockers can proceed.
The matter has received extensive press coverage, including in the BBC, The Times, The Guardian and The Telegraph.
Julian Milford KC acts for the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, on behalf of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency which jointly authorised the clinical trial with the Health Research Authority.
