Jason Coppel KC and Patrick Halliday represented the Good Law Project challenging the award of a Government contract for focus group/communications services without competition at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. The claim, heard by the Technology and Construction Court on 15 February 2021, raises important issues regarding the application of the urgency exception to the Public Contracts Regulations and apparent bias in the award of Government contracts.
