Webinar with Jonathan Moffett KC and Julian Blake

As was widely reported in the media at the end of last year, on 16 December 2020, a Coroner concluded that exposure to air pollution was a significant contributory factor in the death of Ella Adoo Kissi-Debrah, a nine year old girl who had severe asthma. Over the fortnight-long inquest, the Coroner heard extensive evidence about the roles that various public bodies, including local authorities, played in managing and providing information about air quality. Jonathan Moffett KC and Julian Blake, who represented the London Borough of Lewisham at the inquest, will discuss the case and its potential implications for local authorities which have responsibilities in relation to air quality.
