First published in 1931, Constitutional and Administrative Law has been cited by the highest courts in the United Kingdom and across the world. It remains a leading student textbook and this latest edition is updated to reflect the impact on public law of the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union, and of the coronavirus pandemic. The 18th edition is dedicated to the memory of Professor Anthony Bradley, who had authored the book since the 7th edition in 1965, and who died in late 2021.
Christopher Knight has co-authored the book since the 16th edition. He is a leading practitioner in public law matters, and many of the cases in which he has acted are discussed in detail in the book as significant constitutional developments. He is a member of the Editorial Committee of Public Law and an author of the White Book.
