On 18 June 2026, the Bar Standards Board imposed an immediate interim suspension on Karim Khan KC, which was due to expire on 16 July 2026. An interim suspension hearing took place before an Interim Panel of the Bar Tribunal and Adjudication Service on 10 July 2026. On 13 July 2026, the Interim Panel imposed a further suspension of Mr Khan KC’s practice until the sooner of (a) a decision by the BSB not to proceed with disciplinary charges or (b) final disposal of any charges which are brought.
