Amy Rogers in successful defence of Manchester bus franchising scheme

Cases

The High Court dismissed judicial review challenges brought by commercial bus operators to the introduction of bus franchising in Greater Manchester yesterday. Mr Justice Julian Knowles held that the Mayor’s decision and the process by which the Greater Manchester Combined Authority came to recommend franchising was lawful. The Court’s judgment is available here.

Amy Rogers acted for the successful Defendants, led by John Howell KC and instructed by Liz Treacy, GMCA Solicitor and Monitoring Officer.
