Dress codes in the workplace and racial equality at Cardiff University Medical School

Harini Iyengar gave expert legal evidence to the House of Commons to the joint Inquiry into high heels and workplace dress codes by the Petitions Committee and the Women and Equalities Committee.  They have published their report today and call for changes in the law to make anti-discrimination protections more effective.

Harini Iyengar was also a member of the Independent Review Panel on Race Equality which Cardiff University convened to shine a light on equality and diversity following an incident at the university’s medical school.  The independent panel’s Report has been published today and Cardiff University has accepted all 13 recommendations, including addressing under-representation of black and ethnic minority and women staff.
