We invite you to join us for the third in our series of breakfast seminars. Katherine TauntonMichael WhiteChristian Davies and Joseph Lavery will be giving practical tips on navigating the early stages of an Employment Tribunal case. They will cover:

  • Drafting claims: narrative, strategy, and early traps. How much pleading is too much? And should your client really sue their ex-boss personally?
  • Drafting responses: dilemmas in defining your case. How should you plead to tricky allegations? And what should you do with 94 pages of gibberish from ChatGPT?
  • Requests for further information: be careful what you wish for! When are these worth making? And how should you respond to one from the other side?
  • The first case management hearing: preparation and pitfalls. How can you push back against, or benefit from, delay? And are deposit orders underrated?

For a fun and relaxed discussion of these issues – and more – come along on Tuesday 14th April, at 8.30am for an 8.45am start. The seminar will be followed by an informal discussion / Q&A session.

This seminar is likely to be of particular interest to associates and other junior fee earners, but all are welcome.
