11KBW is delighted to announce that, with effect from mid-February, Lucy Barbet will be taking up the new position of Director of Development and Compliance. Lucy will step down from her current role as Senior Clerk at the end of the year.

Mark Dann will remain as Senior Clerk, leading our outstanding team of 12 clerks.

Chambers wishes to thank Lucy for her service and dedication over the last 27 years and wishes her well in her new role, which will enable Chambers to continue to benefit from her vast experience and expertise.

Lucy said: “After 33 years in the Temple, the last 27 years of which have been here at 11KBW, I have decided that the time has come to step out of the fast lane. I have absolutely loved being a barristers’ clerk and working at 11KBW, so I am thrilled that Chambers has been able to accommodate me in this newly-developed role, which will include focussing on Equality and Diversity issues, something very close to my heart.”

Daniel Stilitz KC, Joint Head of Chambers, said: “Lucy has been an absolutely outstanding Senior Clerk, and we are immensely lucky to have had her in Chambers all these years. We’re so pleased that she has agreed to stay on in a pivotal new role, and that we’ll continue to benefit from her contribution to the Chambers community.
