Case concerned the expulsion of a boy from an independent school following violent and aggressive behaviour towards other children. The Upper Tribunal was required to consider the powers of the First-tier Tribunal to order the reinstatement of a disabled pupil following a decision to exclude.  In particular the Upper Tribunal considered the extent to which the High Court’s inherent jurisdiction could be relied upon to enforce the order of the FTT and the availability of contempt of court to compel compliance with the order of the Tribunal. The case also gave guidance on ordering an apology in the FTT.
