Zoe Gannon in highly publicised case on the rights of parents to information on sex education teaching in state schools

Cases

The case was brought by Clare Page, who was represented by Zoe Gannon, against a decision of the Information Commission. The Information Commissioner had upheld a school’s decision to withhold both the teaching materials used by a third party provider, The School of Sexuality Education, and the identity of those who provided the teaching.

The case is the first challenge brought in this controversial area on parents rights to know what is being taught in schools in relation to sex and relationship education. The case has been widely publicised in the Times and Telegraph.
