We are delighted to announce that Richard Leiper and Jonathan Moffett have been appointed Queen’s Counsel in this year’s round.

Richard Leiper specialises in Employment and Commercial Law. Richard is recommended in both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 as the leading junior in Employment law. The 2017 edition of Chambers & Partners has listed Richard two years consecutively as the only ‘starred junior’ in Employment law. Richard is described in the directories as “widely identified by peers as an impressive advocate who is formidable in cross-examination. He has a very broad employment practice, with particular expertise in difficult restrictive covenant issues and high-profile discrimination claims”.

Jonathan Moffett is a leading public law junior, with a practice that has a particular emphasis on the fields of human rights and civil liberties, education law, local government law, regulatory law, health, environmental law, and EU law. He is ranked as a leading junior in public law by both Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500. The latest edition of Chambers & Partners records that Jonathan “impress[es] with his encyclopaedic knowledge of the law and his ability to set out complex legal matters with real clarity. His commitment to his client’s cause is sensational which, when combined with a highly affable personality, make him one of the finest junior counsel in his field”. He is a co-author of the leading practitioner’s text, Judicial Review: Principles and Procedure (OUP, 2013)
