On 2nd June 2016, John Cavanagh KC and Julian Milford obtained an injunction in the High Court to restrain threatened industrial action on the Gatwick Express and Southern Trains services. In an important judgment, Mr Justice Supperstone ruled that that the ballot that had been conducted by ASLEF in a dispute involving the extension of Driver Only Operated trains on Gatwick Express Services was invalid. The injunction will remain in place until a speedy trial in late June 2016. John and Julian were instructed by Eversheds LLP.
